An exciting optical system provides a choice of Brightfield/DIC and Darkfield without changing objectives, nosepieces or illuminator. Focusing is accomplished by moving the nosepiece. The stay-in-focus stage is rigidly set, allowing specimens to be moved on and off without affecting the focus. All controls are conveniently located making this microscope easy to operate.
